Graham Thornicroft

Professor Thornicroft is head of the Health Service and Population Research (HSPR) Department at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College, London. He has led 9 multi-site, international mental health research collaborations. The  Health Service and Population Research Department received the Queen’s Anniversary  Prize for  Higher  and  Further  Education in the UK in 2009. He has very active international research collaborations The HSPR Department is committed to research capacity building with over 50 PhD students, 2 MSc courses and annual Summer  School courses. His areas of expertise include: community mental health services, stigma and discrimination, and global mental health. Professor Thornicroft provides his considerable expertise in mental health services planning and evaluation to the CRE, helping ensure the research is of the highest international standard
